Laytown today, only noticed half an hour ago, kinda thought it was Thursday as it's usually a Thursday. Thankfully the first race isn't 'till 17:05 so I'll take the 16:29 train and arrive in Laytown at 16:38 allowing me 27 minutes to complete the "10 minute walk", entry and bet on the first.
Any pointers?
Where's Ken when he's needed?

Is that near Bettystown? The one they hold on the beach every yr???

Tony Martin likes to have a tilt at the ring in Laytown .

Bring your speedos RC....i hear the water is delightful this time of year!!

I made a few enquiries, seemingly Monteverdi is the one to be on in the last race.
But there is a burd on board, but she is only taking on amateurs.

Nice one, Ken... was €45 up having bet a score on each race with the last to play. Figured Osborne had to have one winner given the truck load he sent over then read your pick so had €50 @ 9/4 leaving me €157.50 ahead on the betting... just about enough to cover the food and gargle. Didn't have to walk from the station, found taxis unofficially ranked in town, first year I've seen a taxi in Laytown, got one back down to watch the soccer before pouring ourselves onto the train, which turned out to be free as the power was out in Balbriggan station on our departure so the station master couldn't sell tickets, technology eh?
