FFS, erm... I was 1/97th of the way to the Donaghies when I copped that you meant O'Donoghues... I had visions of Mr. Ross knacker drinking with Joxer and the boys on the school green.

I've noticed when I'm typing in the app there's a delay of about a second before the numbers and letters come up in the box.Like as if they're being logged or something.. What the hell causes that? Do yous have similar issues.Loadsa limo scum on the app not registered.

Don't have that issue on mine (Android version 10.0.0.17). If you're using an Android phone all I can think of is that it might be searching your contacts as you type, incorrectly doing it on the UI thread. Probably a long shot but you could try settings->apps->driverCheck->permissions and turn off contacts and telephone permissions.

A lot of limos are fleet cars, changing drivers on a shift by shift basis so it's unlikely that a driver would be left linked when the car is idle as they would on single driver taxis/hackneys.

Ok thanks I checked and the permissions are off.I'll keep an eye on it.Maybe it's nothing dodgy just a predictive keyboard thing.

Seems more likely. Mine uses Google Keyboard as default. One of many examples of Google tightening it's grip on the "open source" platform.

I've noticed that with the app too, that it's slow to respond.

You would also think that when you click on check that your keyboard would also open with the following screen.
Same thing happens in Google

The key press does start the search on mine i.e. starts the process of opening the following screen. Maybe yisser caught viruses? Did yis delete the old Hail0 app?

Hail0 had that run at startup permission that I used to whinge about, allows it do all sorts of things whether your logged on or not hence it can draw on the phone's resources 24/7 365.

Slightly relayed but Uber are getting into trouble in the states because they ran a program in the backround called 'hell'.It was monitoring drivers who had Lyft installed and doing something shifty with the data. What an age we live in!

Uber only have to ask Google for all the data it wants from the competition.

Windows 10 sorts out all that...you don't even know how they're stroking your info. The opt-out for Windows 8 users was within their downloaded updates....767 something it was numbered. A chap I know worked for a German software company now runs a start-your-own IPA brewing company. Man frightened the Shi'ite outta me with stuff I thought was Hippo mental. He tore my Toshiba apart with Dos commando stuff and showed me there were 35 bots siphoning off shit that she had been looking up on harmless sites such as "Love Knitting" and "Kitchen Essentials". Be careful lads.
