How many of ya are heading down the pub to get out of the house before the kid gets home with the Junior cert results and your Missus Goes Nuclear .

It was my intention to work tonight as miz Kid was supposed to be out on 'De Lash' after Junior cert results, but seemingly they are breathalising the kids going in to the Clubs tonight, so he is staying sober fer the night.

I did my inter in 79 if my failing memory serves,and no i didn't go on the piss,wasn't really a thing then,started my (real) working life the year after.

I was disappointed with me own youngfella when he came home from celebrating his junior/inter relatively sober a couple of years ago. By the time of my inter I was a regular in the Ivy Rooms up above in Dublin. On inter night the bouncers moved a load of us into the main corridor so fearing we were about to be fukked out I pleaded with Terry, reminding him that I'm a regular - don't worry says he, ewes are the ones that's staying!

My chungfella didn't do anything for his junior....he went into 6th yr this yr,went to his mates 18th last Sat,apparantly he puked his ring up,he wouldn't ring me even though i was off havin a daddy/daughter night...he said the next day...as he was feelin a bit delicate...."lesson learned!"

It's not so easy fer the kids to get pissed anymore or at least not if the want to get in anywhere, like I said earlier they were breathalising the kids going in to the club/disco in Cork last night. Back in the day most of us were regulars in our local pubs long before we were 18.

Too risky for the pub owners these days although girls always look older which is why they're ID'd,
Was at a family wedding back in July,my daughter being her usual social butterfly self was mingling with a few girls in their mid 20's we didn't know, anyways the girls said let's go to the bar and my daughter replied she couldn't as she was only 13,we were speaking with the girls the next day at a BBQ,they couldn't get over the fact she was only 13...even my sister commented that i need to do something!!....what?..like lock her up!!
