Usual smoke screen the budget .You got to read the small print in the finance bill thats where they tell you what colour Balaclava they will be wearing as they mug you .Ross is very quiet expect Her Heighness to lose the plot FF seem to be pulling the strings so whats the use of the Inde Alliance being in Government .Leo might like a general election NOW so he might pinch and pull Rosses hair and make him cry just to force one .

They already done this in the 1970's, it's all in the relevant legislation. A portion of motor tax has been assigned to pay for water services since the 70's

Was that not the whole water charges debate
In 1988 road tax money was diverted to it?

They probably told the EEC that they were spending 100% on roads....so they felt sorry for us and started throwing money at us to improve the road network.

I think thats why taxi drivers get reduced motor tax. If memory serves, our reps at the time successfully argued that we rarely wash and often piss at the edge of the road?

I remember that alright. Bit of an eye-opener considering I though everyone used empty 2 litre milk cartons and wore babyoil to conceal the fetid stench of stale urine and faeces. Some even used Power's uisce beatha as a breath freshener back then.
