Quote from Tacsaî Magazine Editorial - October/November 2017:
The NTA last month released some shocking figures; driver numbers in Ireland are down 45% from the peak of 2009. A pick up in the economy seems to have led to 20,000 drivers fleeing the industry for pastures new. The drop-off has had a big knock-on effect for many, the general public are getting increasingly frustrated with trying to hail a cab, while cab companies are struggling to meet supply and demand expectations.

Yeah I don't like the way the sound like Indo journalists complaining about lack of taxis. Some serious taxi app bribery in the way of a double page advert for Mytaxi ambassadors.

Hal spotted that the editor (who wrote the piece) has the same name as a Whistle Taxi App employee/representative.
To say he's not the sharpest tool in the box would be a gross understatement. How can someone edit a taxi magazine and have no idea why SPSVDL numbers have fallen so dramatically. It almost makes Joe Herron look like he knows what he's doing. With gosh!tes like this and TTnH defending double jobbing drug dealers, I'm tempted to subscribe to the erm's predictions of doom and gloom!

20k drivers haven't fled either it's just that lots of lads with licences that never used them lapsed them rather than pay 250 euro renewal.
