Introducing mytaxi Exec
We’re delighted to announce the launch of mytaxi Exec, Ireland’s newest executive taxi service.
What is mytaxi Exec?
It's our latest feature that allows you to hail a fleet of executive vehicles and drivers from the mytaxi app. Every vehicle meets showroom-quality standards, and every driver delivers an exceptional level of service.
mytaxi Exec is available to all mytaxi Passengers, simply by selecting it via the in-app slider above your Pickup address – see the image below.

How much are mytaxi Exec fares?
Fares for mytaxi Exec trips are calculated slightly differently to standard taxi fares.
Firstly, there is a minimum fare of €15 for every trip. The meter starts at €6, and your total fare increases by €1.25 per minute, and €0.65 per kilometre.
In summary:
Minimum fare: €15
Starting rate: €6
Per minute: €1.25
Per kilometre: €0.65
For example, if you hailed a mytaxi Exec and travelled a distance of 4km over the course of 14 minutes, your fare would break down as follows:
€6 Starting Rate
+
€2.60 (€0.65 x 4km)
+
€17.50 (€1.25 x 14)
=
€26.10 Total Fare
Where is mytaxi Exec available?
As of now, mytaxi Exec is available in the Republic of Ireland only. You should be able to use mytaxi Exec provided mytaxi Exec drivers operate in your area of the country.
We will update this page as and when mytaxi Exec becomes available in other countries. We operate our standard service in over 70 cities across Europe – please see this page for details if you wish to use mytaxi when travelling.

The Hailo executive cars (limos) had a built in meter thingy in the app.

Discounts
As a taxi driver, you have the right to charge the amount calculated on the taximeter, but you may charge less if you wish. You should record any discount in writing on the receipt.
You may not charge more than the national maximum taxi fare, as calculated on the taximeter (plus any permitted extras that apply).

Era sur ye won’t wait more than 3 mins for a customer.
Did I read some driver was moaning about how he had to wait 18 mins for 6 jobs, that’s only 3 mins a job.

No need for more waiting if you've been driving for 3/5 minutes before you get to the customer.They can see your location in real time for the first time ever.The tech is great in that way.The more ya operate yer taxi like a charity the more hours you'll be working to stay ahead.
Think about it 20 minutes free waiting every shift over a 5 day week is a conservative number and adds up to 100 minutes per week yer not getting paid. That's about 30/40 euro in potential earnings a week in waiting time.And it's another reason we should be charging full fare at every opportunity.
