How can they if they use licensed taxis who can only charge what’s on the meter

mybollix are doing some executive car thing where the meter starts at €8 or something.

We don't get surge prices on Uber. They say NTA doesn't allow it. Lunacy really, if folk want to pay for priority at peak times they should be allowed.

Except that we(as a collective)are supposed to operate under the regulations set out out by the taxi regulator and those regulations include pricing . the rules are the rules!

Indeed. However, there should be some provision for clients who want to pay for a premium or priority service.
