After an abysmal showing on this years Cheltenham Placepot, time today fer another go at the Aintree Placepot.
At least the Placepot dividend on the last day of Cheltenham did prove there was some sanity in my betting procedures as the accumulated place odds of the six shortest priced placed horses was about 400/1, while the Placepot dividend was 32,000 Euro, which is roughly about 79 times greater than the S.P. odds.
The problem as always is getting the kounts PLACED !

Good start, 1 placed and the Fav unplaced in the first.
The Foxhunters at 4/05 will sort the 'Wheat from the Chaff' as it's only offering Three places on the 21 runner Cavalry charge.
I took a wild swing in the last (if I make it that far) and left the Fav out hoping he is unplaced fer a decent dividend.

Bollix... didn't realise it was Aintree time... and I like the Foxhunters.

It was the Foxhunters that left me down yesterday,
only 3 places in a 21 runner race, I had the horse that was 4th !
I had a few placed in all the other races.

It's simple enough, ya pick a few runners in each of the first 6 races and then hope/pray that you can get at least one placed in each race. My placepot is still live today getting a horse placed so far in all the first 5 races, but there were a lot of fancied horses placed today so the dividend won't be much anyway.

Aintree dosent attract the huge pools that Cheltenham does as its more of a social meeting than a gamblers meeting .£5 all the unamed favs through the card .Good entertainment for small bronze and a decent payoff if it comes up .
