Happy Saint Walpurga's day.

I thought bonfires and dancing on May Eve were mainly Eastern European traditions, kinda like Halloween for them. I have vague recollection of one of the local farmers explaining a tradition of blessing the land with holy water on May Day (maybe May Eve).

As far a I remember rats it was something like putting out a jam jar at night to collect the morning due then placing it around or in the land to bless it or some kinda shit like that.
