I polished a pair of shoes .Found an old pair of boots I forgot I had really comfortable .When I was a kid going to the scouts or going out you always polished your shoes but now you buy a pair of Clarks and you never have to polish them whatever the put on them.
-
I think you still have to polish them it's just that we never get outside anymore except between the house and the car on the driveway.
-
I find a quick rub of a baby wipe works well with whatever coating they use these days. I guess if the shoe is scuffed we just fuck them out nowadays whereas we might have tried to restore/disguise them with polish in days gone by.
-
these boots are about 20 years old real comfortable .Iput themontoday to go dig a hole but they were comfortable so Ipolished them and forgot about digging .
-
I'd say yer missus has a hole already dug.
-
There'd be some digging in that.
-
I'd say she'd think it would be worth every drop of sweat.

Hello Hal .
-
The holes are to underpin a foundation ,neighbor leveled his garden to slab it and exposed the foundations which moved and the wall cracked .I rang the council as he is their tennent ,they came out and knocked the wall but wont reinstate it .Looks like I will have to do it myself not going to lift the old founds and dig new just underpin them .
-
Hello Hal .
Howayits!!
-
Did the neighbour have permission to slab the garden?? As they are a tenant they have to get permission to change anything in the house.
Also as they caused the damage to your house, you could claim off their insurance, or at least go to the small claims court

Thats my argument with the council .If it was my wall they had no ritght to remove it if its theres then they must reinstate it .But I lived here 30 years and never a cross word with my neighbours for a few ton I would like to keep it that way .I can do the work myself
