Dont be such a bigoted spite filled fucker .My doctor is Muslim .I have lots of non Irish friends who would support me as much if not more than a lot of my Irish friends .My children have traveled the world and thankfully they have never been the victim of bigitory or hatred like I have read here .I never judge anybody by the colour of their skin or what god they follow but how they treat me and mine .Saw the report of this on the news the family did not appear they had too much dignity and were greateful for the support of friends and neighbors .

That's a tad unfair, BS. DM doesn't by any means speak for the majority of Catholics or Christians. In this case the family is clearly respected within their community and that community rallied around in their hour of need, no doubt many members of said community are Christians.

Lippy as always ,you express your thoughts,and feelings,very articulately indeed.it still does not explain however,why muslims,Africans,etc etc are treated BETTER then our own people upon arrival in this country. Do you think its right that these people are housed,awarded medical cards,given preferential treatment,etc etc upon arrival,while people even on this forum are struggling to make ends meet including paying medical costs etc ?

In general the existing rules should be followed, clearly we cannot support an infinite number of people.
In this case a recently widowed woman, by her own strong desire to survive, and provide a future for her children made it to Ireland, by her own ingenuity and determination. On humanitarian grounds on a case, by case basis it was clearly reasonable to flex the rules. Perhaps Nonso may one day be Taoiseach, or discover a cure for cancer to repay the country's kindness. The sooner humanity evolves to recognise our common humanity, stops making weapons, feeds the hungry, eliminates borders the better. I was more hinting at what I see as a preponderance of propaganda now mass consumed on you tube (of various types , some true and some false) The way I see it the effect (purpose maybe) seems to be to inflame and divide and pit people against one another....
