Problem with soccer is simple its a compedative sport .In the 1970s the Dublin and District Schoolboys League was the biggest Football League IN THE WORLD .1000s of teams from under 10s to 18 premier I think Home Farm still hold the record for longest unbeaten run in World Football but thats all changed .With vetting and legal liability your average parent no longer wants to be involved in running teams so the base has gotten smaller Gaa and the game they play in the backfields of private schools have taken over from soccer but there is a reason for that In the GAA there are possibly 3 teams that can win a Football All ireland and in Hurling probably 5 .In Rugby only 8 teams play at the highest level so its easy to be successfull .Imagine Ireland are rated the second best team in the world at Rugby and we have less than 200 professional players .Sport is simple its all about winning kids have no interest in competition only winning .Great example of this is the Kerry Hurling team or Kilkenny Football .Delaney and the IRFU invested in Lansdown thinking there was money in secondrate sports Irish rugby willdie back soccer will never recover but thankfully bands are still looking for a field to play in .The Gaa is also fucked why would a lad give uphis time training at intercounty leavel if he dosent have any real chance of success .The Dubs will kill football just lie Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins will ill national hunt racing .If you cannot win you just wont play .Sport now is a spectator business not a competition .

I cant remember Bubba but I thin they were unbeaten From under 12 till under 18 in any league match ,they also held the record for highest winning score I think might of bee 34-0

It was John, it was 70 + wins on the trot. It was the under 18`s team IIRC. I grew up with Kinger and Harry. Kinger`s from Beresford Street and Harry Coleraine Street.

We dont have a eeper playing any football our strikers poorer than poor we dont have any player playing for the top 6 sides in the UK .The only way we do anything is to give at least half the squad their cards they are absolutely useless at international level>if we had of gotten a Cabaret Manager we could of went on a big recruitment drive for Granny rule players .Micks big advantage now is you have to qualify not to qualify talk of opening up the world cup to more teams .If they still serve up the crap they are playing then the crowds wont come bac .Expect a few Daniel O Donnell concerts over the next few years to help pay the Mortgage on Lansdown .
