so van guerwin then

Anderson's not really a choker, just someone who seems happier being in the shadows of those seeking to win every tournament. On his day, Anderson is a genius and impossible to beat..........he has very few of those in reality.

Nathan Aspinall looks very overpriced at 500/1. If he beats Gerwyn Price it looks like a relatively easy run to the semi-final. Can't have him myself as I've already got Price at 80/1, currently far too short at c.20/1.
-
If you took the 500/1 about Aspinall I'd suggest laying off now (c.25/1) that he's in the semi-final - maybe put up two and a half grand per tenner you have on to for a return of c.€100 per tenner... and hang on to the outside chance of collecting another two and a half large per tenner should he win the title... well, in reality, a more balanced lay off would probably make more sense should he reach the final.
-
I wish I'd done it myself now! I knew Price was way underpriced, I shoulda took a bitta profit from the 80/1 I had and put it on Aspinall... gobshite!

Great read of the Form pity you didnt invest a few tenners nice pay day

Ima man of few words rofl rofl rofl rofl

Top priced 11/8 before a dart was thrown which was about right, certainly not overpriced... Aspinall was the one for the professionals after round 1 @ 500/1.
-
Loking at the prices this morning 1/4 the Dutchman looks tempting .You would think 3/1 the other lad is very very short .
-
You couldn't back either at those prices. The ship has sailed... I guess a professional with a 14/1 docket on Smith would be thinking about taking a profit or at least taking the stake back now but that doesn't really interest me as a recreational punter, I just had a handful of throwaway bets for a bit of interest through the tournament so getting to the final with a runner is a result!
... and just to confirm the obvious... if you can lay van Gerwen at 1/4 or thereabouts on Betfair, of course 3/1 about Smith is short.
-
You missed the boat there Rodent your 500/1 tip was on the ball could of easily cashed out for 10x to your stake and had a nice little win bet running on .I dont bet on darts dont know anything about it .
-
If I was taking it seriously I guess I woulda cashed out all of my bets for profit, or at least got the stake back, except Gurney.... particularly Gerwyn Price... logically he was blatantly underpriced being cut from 40/1 to 20/1 before he had thrown a dart and I had a docket at 80/1. Not doing Aspinall just because I had Price was silly, no two ways about that. Maybe I'll be more pragmatic next year!

Thats the problem we all have trying to win the war when there is profit in little victories .Cashing out when ahead is the Pros way .Great spot and bang on as I said I missed it too .Not often you get on a 500/1 live one .

There was probably a few in that... 96 runner field with the race run over nearly 3 weeks... ideal for a few speculative long shots, I guess. Roll on next year!
