I think that's what became of SIPTU TB... I thought it went out of business although I have seen the name on a building near the BGET... on the left if you were to drive from Avis to the old gas works, dunno the name of the street. BhT probably knows more but he mightn't tell ya!
-
Ah ok.The article is a bit misleading. Some TD called Noel Rock appears to be saying that we want perspex screens.I've enough windows that I never clean so no thanks Noel.
-
Think there like the Ra, underground type of Taxi Network working on our behalf to get us all a better way of life
-
The NITA man makes some good points and seems to have a better command of the English language than we've come to expect from those who purport to represent taxi drivers.
-
Probably an immigrant.
-
I don't think I'd like a full screen in a saloon taxi but I'd definitely have one in a miniwat. Maybe some sort of thing that clips on to the headrest would be more suitable for a saloon car. On a related note Mrs. Catcher showed me a Facebook post last week that made reference to the old flashing roof sign... basically telling folk that they should phone the Gardai if they see a flashing roof sign. I've long been a proponent of bringing it back so glad to see that someone agrees with me but I haven't heard anything about it as a driver e.g. who's installing them, etc...

AFAIK, Charlie Robbo is installing the system as an upgrade, €150 is the number I heard.

It would be like House Alarms going off, probably everyone would ignore them

Worked well enough before. Plata Nua lads mightn`t be as giving though.

Worked well enough in days gone by. OK, you got a few idiots flashing for silly stuff but in general it worked and there were a lot less of us back then.

Bit steep, I reckon I could put one in myself for less than €50... in fact I think I might!

A few of them got more grief from attending drivers than from the passengers they needed "rescuing" from lol
-
Flashing relays stg£11 for 5, toggle switches stg£7 for 2 on Amazon... just need to think of something I want/need to bring the order up to stg£20 to avail of free delivery... or I could order them from China on Ebay and play the waiting game.

The building is owned by Co Op Credit Union and was named Moran in memory of a former CU employee, a lovely lady who passed away after cancer took her in her early 40`s.
