It doesen't take a whole lot to make us stay at home !
I have little interest in working in snow or ice anymore, my insurance premium is more important to me, my current premium is 2K with full NCB and Zero PP's, if I had a tip then that premium could increase to about 7 or 8K, No Thanks !!
Unless I get serious 'Cabin Fever' then I will sit out the few bad days that we get down here.

If it's only in estates I'll give it a go,if it's stuck on main roads not a hope, simply not worth it.

But your NCB isn’t protected is it so if I was you and it snowed, I’d lock the car in someone’s garage

The NCB protection is a sham, read the Insurance topic on the subject on here.

Based on the few cases I've seen (and a few others I've heard of) the loading % is significantly higher where NCD protection or step back NCD applies. As an aside step back NCD is free with Liberty, which is probably about what it is worth.

I tend to agree, Ken... but I still fell for it, afraid to tempt fate I guess. Of the 2 large my insurance cost this year the guts of 7 ton was for "NCD protection"... back in 2015 my total premium (including NCD protection) was €830 FFS!

Mine was 680 but I dropped it, I didn't mind paying the 680 if it was worth it,
but I felt I was being ridden, so I dropped it as I felt I was paying fer Smoke !
