Have had a good few lately and not getting the scrub .Two lads in the car last night asked me was I on Mytaxi .Told me they and their mates play taxi roulette or taxi snooker for money .Taxi roulette is played by hailing a taxi and they bet on the first digit on the roofsign .When the taxi turns up the bet is settled and they are a no show .Sometimes they dont wait on the taxi to show they cancel immediatly .The other one is taxi snooker .As silver is the most popular colour for a taxi that is a white then the next car gets you the points if you dont get a silver you give the next shot to the next player .I have noticed hails that I took canceled straight away only to pop up immediatly again .

If they're messers, call them at random times throughout the night. Get your friends to join in and bet on who gets blocked first.

heya, this is happening me a lot lately as well, only yesterday got prebook in balbriggan just before i was about to go onto m1,turned around came home, took it with 27 mins to go so was priority,as it was only around the corner from my house i went home and waited till ten mins before pick up, went out started car and bang cancelled, so down to drumcondra got another and bang same thing with 6 mins before pick up,ive only started since september but this week is the first ive had prebook cancellations, had about 8 prebook cancels this week, as for the ehail cancels, thats happened since ive started but a lot more lately, so annoying to drive somewhere and just as your there it gets cancelled, and then i get an email from mytaxi last week about drivers cancelling jobs lol, if customer gonna cancel please have the decency to do it straight away ffs, on another note does anyone work the balbriggan area?, i tried it a few times but had no luck

App updated during the week and apparently there has been a load of double bookings. Maybe the customer realises that 2 cars are coming and cancels one

I think most of the G Cabs men use it but the punters haven't tuned in to any great extent. What I (and a few other locals I know) do whenever I'm down the bar is open the app to see if/where cars are parked and go out and hire them off the street if they're there or get the barman to ring G Cabs if they're not.
As an aside, I know a couple of the G Cabs drivers will stay up above in Dublin working for mytaxi if they get up there... like a lot of drivers from all over rural Ireland... all contributing to the perceived need for P2P rideshare in rural areas, I guess.
