Tried to update my licence on it, not sure if it worked or not as it said HTTP error at the end of the process. Might run it this evening and see what happens. Of course running it is consuming internet resources hence interfering with mytaxi so if there's no work to talk of it doesn't make sense to have it running.

David Knox rang me to ask me to put it on in the background for a few weeks.
In 4 weeks I've got 1 prebooking to the airport. The app also seems to ping for non existent pre bookings all day.

So looks like they may be in trouble trying to break the MYT strangle hold

Competing for internet resources, Octy. Try mytaxi without Flag running and you'll probably find you get more work off it. The more apps you have using the internet the slower each communication is going to be.

There is a huge difference between writing an app and running a business .As I said I wouldnt take a present of 90% of it for free .The selling point was drunk students could get a taxi home if they had no money .Sure the Busses wont stop at UCD to pick up that scum why would a taxi driver want them a fucking stupit idea from the start .

mytaxi have started fixed fares for their executive service. There is some speculation that HSE work will be next. I guess Flag have to compete for the same client base.

Someone else will enter the market with a better driver deal and like rats abandoning a sinking ship we will follow .All they willbe left with is all the work we gave themfor their hacks .If Metaxi could convince the NTA to remove taxies from bus lanes then there would be no benifit to using licenced taxies over hacks .

They were only applications no business plan .Unlike Hailo who paid bobo and had the support of the reps .I know some apps contacted taxi drivers pre launch when they should of contacted business men .You remember some getting free dinner from app developers .50K in the right mans hands would of set them on the right path .If you didnt have the bribe money you needed a proper offering and a frontman .None of the offerings offered both .

50k would get them nowhere. Hail0 attracted over US$100,000,000 investment and hadn't a pot to piss in when it was rescued by Moovel/Daimler.

50K in the right mans hands would of told them drunken students was not a selling point .50k in the right mans hands would of told Whistle they had the wrong spokesman .50kin tr right hands would of gotten them a decent business plan .Unicorns and Rainbows are for little girls at story time not business men trying to earn a living .
