Title: mytaxi Lost In Translation "advertisements"
Post by: Rat Catcher on May 15, 2019, 07:30:54 pm
Anyone who's flown into Dublin airport in recent times will have seen the mytaxi "lost in translation" series of advertisements plastered throughout the arrivals areas and terminals. Cringeworthy is too small a word, an absolute embarrassment... I bet those responsible for producing this shite get paid a hell of a lot more than those of us who work for the firm as drivers.

It depends on how much you “work” for the firm

I always thought you work WITH the firm, and not FOR the firm.well at least that is how I would describe my status if I was aligned with them.no wait a minute,it probably would be more accurate to describe the firm as being my employee seen as though I pay them to provide a service to me

Cringeworthy attempts to translate working class Dublin terms into English, one that sticks in my mind is "Joer" meaning taxi/hackney/clapped out shitebox masquerading as a limousine.
