Talking to a Barman from Temple bar ,Most of the pubs WONT reopen they say it will cost to much at the moment they have reduced costs like insurance ,Electric,wages,rates .The word is they will not reopen till February .

Why February?Are the barmen working on their own vaccine or something.
Saw the Market bar on the news and it looks poxy with all the cubicles around the tables.They've turned a large capacity open plan pub into lots of crappy smaller isolated units with only 50% capacity.
I'm assuming they'll be taking wage subsidies until a vaccine is found.

There is no way pubs are staying closed in December.

Reason Feb .There is nothing happening no tourists no music at the moment the pubs are not making money but they are not losing money .My mate says it would cost his boss 1250 a week to open the doors before wages .He dosent see that it makes economic sense .No gigs ,no GAA probably get a good December out of it January is usually quiet .So sit till Feb .

Probably more because he won't be getting €7 a pint off the locals.Most of those pubs in Templebar are tiny but make massive margins on the drink.Now they can't ram in the punters and overcharge them.

About Templebar....a barman from there was telling me his boss doesn't want Irish as they're always complaining about the prices.Now they're the only customers available he's probably staying closed as he would have to lower his prices.Without live music it's a fairly boring place.

A man contracted a rare STD...
He finally went to the hospital to get his manhood examined.
He nervously took off his pants, "Doctor, what is wrong with me? It's been getting more and more painful down there."
After close examination, the doctor said in a grim voice, "I'm afraid we have to perform surgery to have it removed."
"What? I can't just let it be chopped off like that!" Unsatisfied with the doctor's response, the man left the hospital.
Later that week, the man decided to go to a traditional doctor who specialized in natural and herbal remedies. Hopefully they had some better solutions.
The man took off his pants once again. The traditional doctor smiled and said, "Don't worry, you don't need to have it cut off. Hospitals just want to perform surgery every chance they get. Let me give you a prescription for some herbal medicine."
The man let out a big sign of relief. The doctor continued, "Apply these herbs to your nether regions 3 times a day for a week. It should fall off on its own."

He replied " Well since the lockdown I just stay in my bed sit and watch porn with a large bag of Cheezy Wotsits!!" 8)

True, spoke to someone from Wright's same thing, some of Wright bars they won't reopen too. As you said John before it's a time to look for alternative employment

There is 6 more weeks of covid coin I will wait till it runs out before I return to work wait and see if the lockdown in reintroduced .Look at Leicester in the UK the lockdown was reintroduced there after a week .If Bernie and Alison from the Flats start posting on FB loads of Girlos dancing in the pub with Jonner and Daryl and not observing Social Distancing the pubs could be ordered to close again .My thinking is if the lockdown is reintroduced people in reciept of PUP might get put onto Unemployment Benefit without having to go through the process of applying and waiting to be processed .We are depending on others to play by the rules for our work .Also there might be a better offer to encourage us to go back to work or into full time education or retraining .Make haste slowly ,the early bird is the first one in the gunsights while he chases the worm .
