I heard from a very reliable source .Leos balls are on the chopping block because of his big mouth .Not 1 minister voted for level 5 there was almost unity on level 3 but then the Big mouth goes on Telly and kicks the bollox out of Doc Houlihan .Big Mick told Leo he now owns the Covid reaction as he attacked Nefed in public .Expect Leo to over react to save his own arse .Roadblocks wont stop anything .Early closing for offlicences will just mean more dial a drink and people stocking up and drinking more than they normally would .Its sort of anything goes now that the Government in stead of Nefed own the virus .Really surprised at Leo making such a stupid move nothing in it for him but if we go Lockdown the papers will say its the Governments fault for not listening and the main deafman was Dr Leo .

Big Dommo was out and about with his Son this morning and they were stopped at a checkpoint by Gards but there was also a Social Welfare inspector asking those who said they were traveling for work for their PPs No to check if they were receiving PUP .

They weren't even checkpoints Marky....there were traffic cones reducing 3 lanes down to 1 with Garda cars parked at the end,not one Garda actually stopping traffic....Drew Harris even said it was to deter people who shouldn't be moving outside their county...it's fukin Level 3,people are still required to attend work,frontline workers being extremely inconvenienced going to and getting from work after night shifts....ye actually couldn't make it up!!

Houlohan is, as expected, ramping up the rhetoric and calling them all bolloxes. They'll listen the next time. I doubt we'll see level three for even ten days. Circuit breaker level 5 is hurtling down the tracks. Halloween is a non runner, if it already wasn't. The housing estates are conspicuous by their lack of customary skeleton hands coming out of the ground, so the peasants are reacting in a manner relative to their priorities.

Occi the death rate is corrupted .In both the UK and USA if you die up to 6 weeks after a positive diagnosis they put it down to covid .Im not sure how Ireland Clarify Covid Deaths .The effect of this is A lot of older people go into old folks homes because they are frail and weak and if they catch Covid no account is given to the fact a lot of them were probably in palliative care .

Got caught in one o dem Garda maximum aggravation initiatives on the M1 this evening after a hard..and long...days work,on Google Maps it told me +58mins....so i eventually made it to the Balbriggan/Naul exit and flew home through Naul village.....i'll need to be checking Google maps for the foreseeable if they continue with this wonderful initiative....cunts!!

Someone at my young fellas workplace- a fukkin bar/restaurant of all places- tested positive. My lad is under lock and key tonight. Going for his test tomorrow. The wife and young one are sweating it too cos they're all under the one roof. Good job I bounced earlier this year.

Looking at Figures for Fever all over Europe .Budget Tuesday vote on Finance bill before Friday then back to Full Lockdown by next Weekend .Dont think there is any other option .

Merc Im sort of thinking the whole of Europe at some time or other has been in Lockdown .It hasent worked so like Einstein says the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result .When you consider the Death rate and the different ways of counting is this Virus really as potent as they say .Ireland is facing a deluge of dangers .Virus Lockdown,Brexit and a change to Corporate Tax .A Second lockdown will weaken our economy and we wont be able to survive either of the next blows .Back in the 50s we had TB killed more than this China Cough so we opened fever Hospitals like Cherry Orchard and Peamount .If overwhelming hospital emergency beds is really what this is all about then why not just take over a few nursing homes or Private Hospitals and turn them into Covid only premises then let the rest of us get on with life .I know Two publicans that wont be reopening our kids mate ran a hairdressers went under due to back rent .If there is a second lockdown then I think a lot of Jobs will be gone forever but whats the Alternative are our Government or any other Government going to take the Chance to Ignore what every other Country is doing .

Central bank official on the radio earlier says it's mostly hospitality that's affected.Other parts of the economy are relatively strong.Savings are strong too apparently.
They can afford to pay us to be off so long as they keep borrowing.If a few taxis and small businesses get taken out then that's the price they're willing to pay.They're just gonna kick the can down the road until the vaccine is widely available.Then they'll tax us for the next fifty years to pay for it.Enjoy the break, put the central heating on as a treat..
If they go to level 5 I'm expecting to get another year on me heap as the NCT centers will be closed like a few months ago.Every cloud...

Another year means I don't have to replace it.It reaches end of life March 2021....10/15k I don't have to spend in the next year.
They extended the age on some vehicles last year so this should be no different.If it happens I'll be happy if it doesn't I'll deal with it.Either way I won't be spending if things are still in the toilet this time next year.Just trying to manage the risk really.
I'll offer Ken 3K for his new Avensis and see if he bites.

Dont dissagree with you 42 but the Government we have now is pathetic Not one outstanding individual among them Leo had us fooled for a while but he showed last week its all about his ego .No unity in this Government and no Unity in the Country A second lockdown and close to Christmas there will be trouble and Street Violence ,we saw the beginning of it yesterday .People are afraid and fed up of the mixed messages and Idiot inbread politicians shouting to close Off licences and Churches the Two great pillars of Irish Society .You can smell the Silence and if Donny T Loses the US could descend into serious Civil unrest that will trigger World Wide Unrest .If this Virus was the Chinamans weapon its mightier than the Atom .

As TD says until a vaccine is found this is our future....it's the numbers in hospital and ICU beds that will ultimately decide whether a lockdown is required but currently there's no mass adherence to guidlines even at Level 3.

If I was a betting man ! I would think if they can pass the Finance bill on Wednesday then we go into stage 4 lockdown by Friday building sites and essential shopsand places of work remain open everything else closes down and new restrictions on movement .If I was a publican I wouldnt be buying Fairy lights .
