Gardaí investigating Meath armed robbery

Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery of a supermarket in Co Meath.
Two males, one of whom was armed with a handgun, the other with a baseball bat, entered the store at around 7.20pm on Friday.
After threatening staff the pair made of with the contents of two cash registers, and escaped in a black Volkswagen Polo.
Gardaí say the men appeared to be heading in the direction of Navan.
A firearm was later discovered at the scene.
Witnesses said one of the men was wearing a black hood over his head while the second wore a dark woollen hat and a black facemask.
Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí in Navan garda station.

Indeed, I quite like Mirror Group (Irish Mirror, Dublin Live, Cork Beo, + ?) headlines. I think the best was "Sinn Fein Blast Explosives" in an article about fireworks in West Dublin.
best headline ii ever seen was the mirror years ago the company who make viagera went ob strike,and the headline said VIAGERA STAFF DOWN TOOLS I thought it was brilliant

Two heads threatening me one with a Gun one with a Bat the one with the Bat is the one I would be weary of .Its easy enough to swing a bat and break a head or a shoulder without giving it a second thought .Lad with a gun has to consider if he pulls the trigger he kills you .I would think if you are working behind a counter in a shop you would be frightened of the Bat more than a gun you dont hear of to many shop workers being shot .

Most he can do is pistol whip u so grab the bat and seize the opportunity

Fella with a blade would frighten me the most .Dont think a lot of people understand the internal damage a knifes blade can do .If anybody ever pulled a knifes on me id give him the lining of me pockets along with the coin .
