Knocked into big Dommos mothers house today its her birthday she is 89 .She made tea and toast then she said "Do you want butter on that toast or Bovril "I forgot all about bovril spresd on your toast or an Oxo cube in a cup filled with hot water to make a drink ..

Thank god our hardship didn't include hills....only when we walked home from the Bots up the Washerwoman Hill....during the summer,wearing my brothers hand me downs.

I remember years ago at the league of Ireland matches.you got a cup of hot water that was reputed to be boveril,and a stale  cream cracker ,and when I say stale,I mean stale.they got a bit  more  adventurous years later,you could actually get a packet of crisps.there no stopping them at all these days ,you can get roughly half a single of chips for 4 euro
