Anyone ordered from Wish before?

Ordered a few mad cunt bits n bobs like offensive t-shirts and gas masks etc..........after clicking on the payment button it reminded me I'll have to pay VAT my end.....does the postman or courier collect it?

My missus has ordered all sorts from Wish....usually small items that the postman just sticks in the letterbox but I did get an in car camera(that's been looking great down the side of the sofa for two years) that I got from China,I got notification that vat and taxes totalling €20 would need to be paid(after I had sent them an invoice of what the goods actually cost)they then release it for delivery.

Thanks very much, Hal. I genuinely could not figure it out.......a gas mask totalling a score and an infra-red telescope worth 40 quid....the t-shirts were all a quid or 2.......she was ordering a loom for weaving which was less than a quarter the price here, but obviously the quality will be shite.

Telescope is for astronomy..........I've been a student of the stars for yonks.....the gas mask is a wind-up...ongoing joke between me brother and me and putrid Christmas dinners.

If the total package has a value less than €26 then no vat or duty is payable.
If the value is over 26 but under 150 then vat is payable along with a handling fee.

Grand so. They sell everything but I'm not too sure about the quality. Kawasaki motor-cycle gloves at less than a quarter the price makes me very suspicious.......the Japs don't sell them to the Chinese so I suspect they're as real as Donald's syrup.

If you're buying a few things that together add up to more than 26 but individually are less,it make sense to do separate orders.

They're usually free postage so order them separately...I seem to be forever pulling those little plastic bags out of the post box.

If you're buying a few things that together add up to more than 26 but individually are less,it make sense to do separate orders.

I won't be doing much more of it if this telescope is in the bin by Xmas, but cheers anyway. One thing I did notice was a lot of the products were free but you HAD to pay postage. Seems great for little knick-knacks.....but that's it.

Aldi  do great ones from time to time. Just watch out for them
