Poxy masks fucked up my washing machine. One got caught in the drain pump... got it out, cleaned the filter but it sounds like DM on the subject of dispatchers... new pump required I guess.

Mrs. Catcher told me we have nets for such items. Never used them myself but then I've never cleaned the filter either, something she does regularly, apparently. Anywaysanall the pump seems to be fixing itself - at least it's doing what it's meant to do and is considerably less noisy now than it was in the immediate aftermath so I haven't bothered ordering a replacement yet. Available from NI spares for under stg£30 with express (1-2 day) delivery so no panic, I guess.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

One of the springs on the door of my dishwasher broke(the cord that connects to it and then the door is usually the suspect...but nooo)..anywaysanall....after checking a few of the spares places it transpires that buying directly from Bosch was the cheapest option.

Just checked NI spares cos I used them a while back for an oven element and the service was excellent... delivered within 48 hours at a reasonable price. Quick tip though, go through the checkout up to but excluding payment first and they'll send you an email with a small discount.

I dunno if there's anywhere left in Dublin to shop for white goods parts other than the brand distributors. Charlie Shiels is gone, Austin Kealy is gone...

Mastercare are excellent.  Fixed a 35 year old Nilfisk vacuum cleaner for me and its like new.

When they call out for washing machine/ dryers etc, they don't charge an arm and a leg.
