CLOSE DUBLIN AIRPORT
« on: March 28, 2020, 12:14:20 am »
I noticed lots of flights still coming in from all over Europe and the UK.Should now be the time to close Irish Aerospace, to ALL non essential travel.I understand Irish citizens need to get home, but put a timeline on it ,like other countries did.The DAA said they down 70% now.The Spanish flu in 1918, main transmission was through soldiers returning from World war 1, on boats that caused 23,000 deaths and 800,000 infections over a 12 month period in Ireland.Now they didn't have ventilators back in 1918..... ,but we dont have many either in 2020 around 500, if im right , a world shortage.Boris in UK asked car manufacturers could they make them to no avail.

Formula 1 stepped in there;

Seven Formula One teams are working on manufacturing ventilators to assist with the treatment of the coronavirus.

Mercedes, McLaren, Red Bull, Racing Point, Haas, Renault and Williams are collectively part of 'Project Pitlane', seeking to pool their engineering expertise to provide much-needed medical devices.

A statement on the F1 website read: "The seven teams' combined efforts, termed 'Project Pitlane', are part of a UK industry-wide effort to manufacture and deliver respiratory devices to support the national need.

I'd say they're the fastest ventilator in the whole world.What a waste of engineering talent.A good plumber could make a cheap ventilator.

Fuck all passengers going through now, Dub2018. I was talking with a civil servant who works there and he reckons it has vastly improved their efficiency... I think he'll be recommending to his minister that passengers be kept out altogether in future... bit like the hospital with no patients on Yes Minister.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Surprised they're not packed with DIY injuries.
