Fear of public transport is becoming a thing seemingly, with people cycling or driving rather than taking a bus/train, Taxis will join this feared sector particularly given that some actual taxi drivers are happy to label Taxis the perfect disease spreaders

They're not and they don't. It's like Trump advising USAmericans to drink Dettol. The lack of casualties among Irish taxi drivers proves that taxis are by far the safest form of public transport available.

Those that are working from home will be social distancing whether they travel on buses or in taxis. I think you are confusing one element of social distancing i.e. the physical distancing element with social distancing in it's entirety. The lack of physical distancing is easily offset by the (presumably) disinfected environment and the avoidance of crowds, the latter being another recommendation under the banner of social distancing.
