I don't use it directly, JIT... other than in investigating systems errors. It maintains our database through automated 'bots'. In fact, last time I looked at their published hit rate I concluded that I'm responsible for 83% of it's traffic which is why I had to check that it wasn't trying to isolate and refuse queries generated through my connections.

Transport for Ireland have a Taxi Driver Check App page.  At the bottom of the page they have a link that suggests you can check a driver online - https://publicregister.nationaltransport.ie.  Needless to say, it doesn't work.

It really is a shambolic quango of the highest order.

Between waiting an age to "try" and speak with someone by phone, only to be told,"I will have to check and get back to you or can I have your email address"!!

Even with the onset on Covid they were/are very very lax. Little info and or to be told to contact the HSE is you are concerned.

They are quick enough though when they are looking for money or giving out rules and regulations.

Unlike Security men who are licenced you cannot check on them .I wouldnt be surprised if under GDPR the app is illegal as it infringes your privacy .Might be a sneaky way of disarming it without saying anything .
