there's no custom duty or vat on merchandise or on cars older than six months/6000kms if you buy from Northern Ireland after Brexit.
lotta gear will be channeled up north from the uk to enter the republic.

Thats part of the Parcel Motel problem .You buy Gick in the Mainland it needs a clearance cert to go to Ulster Says No part of Great Britain as the intermediaries Parcel motel have no tax clearance to collect VAT so might be liable to HM Revenue .Need to wait a weeek or two to see how it plays out .

It'll be resolved in due course, erm. Customs certs are no bother. In the good old days it was just a green form, smaller than A5 if memory serves, that we stuck on the envelope. No big deal... but probably enough to justify increased Parcel Motel fees. Amazon are still taking orders with free delivery to ROI from the UK. Do you reckon we'll get a Duty Free Zone at the borderless border this time round?

I assume those motors are still subject to VRT, Doc?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I was only looking at that Rodent If you have FA to do fly to UK buy smokes and Gargle have a buyer in the Airport in UK then turn around and fly back with your smokes and Gargle you can only bring 200 smokes dont know what amount of spitits but you should clear a ton profit for your day if you have a buyer on the Uk side .
