USA: Uber & Lyft adding fuel surcharge to taxi fare
« on: March 14, 2022, 07:17:26 pm »
In the USA, Uber & Lyft are adding a c.50 cent surcharge to each 'taxi' ride for the next 60 days to compensate drivers for the surging fuel prices. All of the charge goes to the driver and neither company is taking a cut. And even EV drivers are getting the extra charge, which is nice  ;D

I wonder if the NTA has thought of doing similar? Or even FN or Bolt? FN/Bolt could call it an admin fee to get around the maximum taxi fare limits?
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.
