Katie Taylor created one of the best nights in Irish boxing history as the legendary Bray fighter turned the tables on undisputed super-lightweight champion Chantelle Cameron with a stunning performance at the 3Arena.
Taylor defied expectations with a tactical masterclass, punishing Cameron's aggressiveness and using her trademark flurry combinations and counter-punches.
Cameron had few answers to the brilliance of Taylor, who came good on a promise to see the very best of her talents when so many doubted what was left in the tank.
Taylor took the victory via majority decision, with one judge scoring the contest 95-95 and the others 98-92 and 96-94.

"I don't think there's ever been a trilogy in women's boxing. This could be the first," adds Taylor as she opens up the possibility of another battle with Cameron. On tonight's evidence, nobody would complain.

Taylor just needs to stay on her feet here and she will almost certainly win this fight. Cameron's corner have been complaining that the Irish fighter's been holding. The two of them are exhausted but they continue to pour absolutely everything into what's been a memorable scrap. Taylor summons one last flurry from her jaded body, as blood streams down Cameron's face. And that's that - what a contest.

Taylor's legs are starting to look heavier now, but a couple of flurries send the home support crazy - Cameron needs a response, and she's running out of time.

Taylor has been terrific. She has swelling under her left eye now as this bruising, brilliant battle comes to a climax. Blood pours from Cameron's wound, then Taylor lands a super shot with her left just before the bell!

Katie Taylor is doing a good job of frustrating Cameorn, playign a game of cat and mouse, choosing her moments intelligently. Great exchagngetowards the end of the seventh as Cameron responds to a sweet Taylor combination with a strong right hand.

Taylor's speed has been so impressive. The noise at the 3Arena is incredible, and it raises with every Taylor punch, whether it lands or not. Cameron has struggled to find her groove but she ends that round strongly.

Cameron is falling short with her jab as Taylor keeps her distance. Taylor is asking questions of her opponent, who needs a change of tack. Cameron ends the round with stiff jab to the body.

Breathless action here, the pace is unrelenting. That's a a nasty looking cut now on Cameron's temple. The referee asks the doctor to take another look at it - he gives it the okay. Cameron backs Taylor into the corner and then the heads come together yet again. Taylor has been good on the back foot - solid combinations and effective use of her jab. Strong end to the fourth from Katie.

It's electric stuff. Taylor keeps circling Cameron, trying to negate and counter her opponent's jab. Cameron has a cut over her right eye. She lands a good body shot, and then the pair clash heads again which opens it up.

Taylor has to avoid that lethal Cameron jab. The English fighter applies pressure but Taylor's defence has been really good so far.

Off we go. Taylor makes a razor-sharp start, her feet and movement on point. Cameron seems to come off worse after an early clash of heads but Taylor goes down after a jab that leaves her off balance. The referee said that was a slip, not a knockdown.

Katie Taylor is coming out first. Andy Lee says that's no bad thing as it will give the Bray fighter a little more time to adjust to a raucous atmosphere inside the 3Arena. She emerges to the strains of Raise A Hallelujah. Taylor is not used to being the underdog, but she is tonight.
