Rest assured there will be someone who "CBA - Can't be arsed".

If you post the above @ €21.53 an hour gross, it's not enough.

If you post that a driver can do two hours a day and be paid €150 a day five days a week, they'll find a way not to do it.

The truth is there in the old joke:

What's the difference between a taxi driver and a newborn baby?

You can stop a newborn baby from crying!! 8)

I wouldn't do it for any amount of money.Pedestrians and cyclists don't give a fuk anymore. They'll just step off the footpath with their back to the traffic oblivious to fast moving vehicles assuming we all have to slam on the brakes. The newer buses are a lot wider than the old ones and many of the Aercoach drivers are straddling two lanes just to get around the bend on upper Leeson street now thanks to the giant empty bike lanes.

Bus driving is one of the few jobs where you end up in the joy for fukking up.

Have yis noticed the new electric buses have no mirrors....just cameras.I don't let them out anymore as I can't see if the driver can see me or if he's looking at his phone.

There's a good few double jobber bus drivers out there.I never really got the idea of working two jobs just to get a pension and holiday pay.Do one or the other.Working 55/60 hours a week, whilst.not seeing your family just get an extra pension that you'll definitely be taxed on.Unless you've got some amazing unusual genetics you're more likely to be mentally fukked with dementia or in a cemetery by late 70s at best. The obsession with pensions a strange one.

Imagine having to drive the bus all week and still deal with the suitability bollox and meter sealing and yearly NCTs.

I think they changed the law so that an employee was meant to tell their boss if they had a sPSV licence.  I don't know if there was any consequences to admitting you had a taxi licence or whether you just had to tell the company?

Also as part time ....ide imagine no free doc or pension ... ther probably so desperate for drivers that part time drivers wud have unlimited overtime ....20 yers ago the unions wud go to war wit that but I guess nowadays the unions an the Labour Party are more concerned with the red herrings of palastine and transgenderism whilst senior
Union reps are obviously well paid under the table

Lots of increments to be had --shift, unsocial hours etc

Handy if you needed to top up years for OAP

Would make sense for the lads averaging under €25/hour takings.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
