Here is the thinking in the Politburo in Clondalkin FG/SF ..@25/1  WHY ? Only FG have the brand to go into coalition with the shinners and Not get tainted ,FF and SF are both republican parties and if they do a deal they can both undermine each other so both can lose out to each other so it not in their self interest to water down their brand FG would like the cover of having a republican wingman to counter the DUP with the Tories when the explosive nature of Brexit blows up ,by having the shinners on board they can force the Republican movement to hold fire .

SF and FG were one and the same for a while...Cumann na nGaedhal..well almost....prior to split........The leadership   of the pro-Treaty  Shinners in 1922 included Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins and W. T. Cosgrave. The Pro-Unionist Alliance swung behind Cumann na nGaedhal just to fuck FF up.
