New Diesel Emissions standards comming in from Europe in September .Wont effect us (I hope ) but as road tax is set by your emissions the government might increase road tax on smokier vehicles to force people to clean up their act .BUt it might effect us as they also set the VRT on emissions so if your importing the VRT might be increased and knowing this government they might really increase it on used cars as the amount of imports are  going up while new car sales are dropping .

Those new Toyota adverts are a bit cringworthy. The owlwan talking about driving a hybrid to do something good for her kids sounds like a wanker. If she really wanted to save the planet she should buy a bicycle and stop driving the kids around.Toyota have the wrong approach to these ads.Nobody really cares that much about the environment.

They willcare soon Merc .Irish government going toget 400 million fine so they will up car tax and carbon tax .As I posted earlier this week Girl on the DCC I know said Dublin Corpo would not support any type of car use in the City .The Brit Bus Company will look for permission togo 24 hours .They need an environment impact study first .The Hippy Tree Huggers and the Sandal Wearers will get the Go ahead from the Depoartment of the Environment to introduce all sorts of new environment rules on motorists as long as the dont annoy the Rural Farmers .Interesting fact there are more taxi drivers in Ireland than Farmers .There are more delivery drivers in Ireland than Farmers but transport will be attacked while Cows fart in the fields.

Here is a question about emissions and smelly stuff .We buy a lot of electricity from Britain we are even building an Inter connector .If the Brits are outside the Common Market will we have to pay import duty on the power .Will they charge us a carbon tax for generating it for us .
