I didn't present both sets of documents, Watty. It was actually a romantic evening out with Mrs. Catcher who looked after the oh9 which is hers these days. I didn't notice them rev the oh16 but I did hear the oh9 being revved, although I may have missed the revving of the oh16. I'll have to pay more attention next year and see if a disclaimer is required then.
Yours must be a MKI, the limit was 3.0 for my old MKI which I had from new, that never failed on emissions either, even when it had a sticking valve... and it never got any revving prior to testing or anything other than diesel in the tank. I think the MKII has always had a limit of 1.5 and has always measured close enough to 1.0. I could look that up but I haven't time atm.
