It's a new Limo licence, MfH... limousine licences are two a penny anyway so no advantage in keeping one active.

19,707 active vehicle licences today compared to 21,402 on 31 Dec 2019. Fleet occupancy could be a better guide to the current state of affairs. Intercity, for example, is at 60% compared with 86% on 31 Dec 2019. http://intaxi.org/stats/index.php?date=current
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Seriously Merc instead of investing in a taxi would you not look at something else .With all the Pedestrianization and Competition I expect the British Bus Company to go Bus 24/7 .I said it before we are about 30% overprescribed .I think the taxi industry wont be for full time participants .The result of Covid Coin and if you read this forum people suggesting they might be creative with their tax returns I would suggest that it is inevitable that under a Green Government who pride themselves on Road Safety that we will get a Tacko and possibly a readable meter .Research says a tired driver is as dangerous as a drunk driver .

Nah I'm optimistic Ermy. It's a pandemic.I can live on 200 a week for a long time when that day eventually comes.

When I need more money our economy will be hopping again.A lot of cash sitting in bank accounts that needs to be spent.

I can always try something else if I get too bored.I'm not lifting a finger until the restrictions are lifted long term. Now that the NTA are giving me another year I can take another one off.

While Europe is Sneezing and sniffing and spending Covid Coin .Have you been looking through the Smoke screen .The ECB are asking governments about the launch of a DIGITAL EURO as in doing away with Cash money .That would mean all transactions are traceable ,Taxable .The ECB need to be able to tax every cent to recover all the Covid Coin they have loaned .

That wouldn't make much difference to us John now that so much of our work is app/card.We're already there. Some are stubbornly sticking to cash but they're not getting as much work.

They will buy with their debit card just means the tax man will get his share as tax will probably be a transaction tax at source and instead oy you paying your tax annually you apply for a rebate based on costs and expenses and tax credits .

I was looking into a Webinar about drug dealing .In the USA and EU Cannabis selling is the 6 biggest employer of Men aged between 16 and 32 .The Government know this its just looked on as Self employment .The money they earn is spent back into the Economy .What elae would they be doing for cash if they were not dealing they would be attacking inocent people the governments consider srug users as co dependents of the dealers in job creation .Its Government Policy to promote drug use just like they Promote Alcohol and Tobacco and Suger while taking billions a year in tax from the industry .More people die from Diabeties that OD thats a Fact .So Sugar is more deadly than Drugs .
