I've done loads to and from Randox at the airport,St Vincent's,Clonskeagh Hospital and City West.
I take the same precautions as with every other passenger:in the back, mask on,my mask on,screen installed, windows open.
That's 10 months now and thousands of passengers.

Are HSE paying a Premium for service ?

Reckon with a Life Insurance Policy/Permanent Health Policy might be in stum with the T&C s as engaging in work that contains a specific risk to health/life.

Good call Punter T&Cs   .Had a medical procedure years ago claimed on insurance to pay Mortgage as I was hospitalised .Insurance refused to pay up as they said what I was suffering from was genetic I inherited it so when I filled out the original application for insurance I said I was in Good health ,this was deemed to be a false declaration .Im returning next week when my taxi insurance clicks back in as I opted out last month .I wont be fitting Screen Found them claustrophobic and restrictive as I need to set my seat forward to facilitate entry for passengers .If I really believed that I needed a screen ,Gloves,Dissinfectant ,windows open .I dont think i would return .Havent heard of to many Girls on minimum wage working in shops getting it .Most of the people crying about catching Covid in Work are Civil Servants ar state Workers who get paid if they work or Not .Im thinking Priority for Certain workers is only to make them feel special or more worthy than others ,like Doctors ,Nurses .I see Pharmacists invaded a vaccine center in Cork looking for the Jab more of a PR stunt as I havent heard the Pharmacists union complaining or calling their members out on strike bit like the Teachers all mouth about Covid spreading in schools while they were getting paid to work from home .They are back now and not a word from their Unions about sick teachers .I wont be going out looking to catch it but I also wont be going out in a mobile prison cell to try earn a coin .I will wear a mask if somebody is in the car .

If yis seen what the hospital staff and ambulance drivers wear when in contact with potentially infected patients you'd never leave the gaff.

I was recently in the hospital with someone and they won't let you in the room without wearing proper medical grade masks, rubber gloves and one of those medical disposable aprins. If you leave the room they make you throw it all in the hazardous waste bin and put on new equipment. You'd think it was Ebola they way they manage it.You can wipe down the taxi 50 times a day and you still might get it.Doesnt mean it will kill you.

Any of yis thinking a shitty screen and a 20 cent Chinese mask is gonna stop you picking isn't thinking ratonally. You have to be prepared to get it to go into work.As soon as the Covid money dries up we will be all happy to take our chances. With a bit of luck the weak will be vaccinated by then.

Ask your Granny about TB in the 40s or 50s more virulent than Covid .This is the first Internet Pandemic .Do you remember RTE with pictures of Ambulances and staff in full muclear fallout gear if they were picking up passengers suspected of having the fever now the advise is take a Taxi to get checked out .In the Words of the Great Doc .ITS ALL A LOAD OF BOLLOXXXXXXXXXXX

All Pubs reopen this afternoon .Will you wear a mask only go for a pint if the windows are open and there is a screen around the table  and Big Dommos birds godchild comes around wiping the table every few minutes with a dettol soaked rag .Or will you sit up at the Bar telling Covid DIY stories of how you fixed the hinge on the hot press door at the height of the pandemic and wallpapered the scullery .?

Nobody will bother trying to sue a scruffy taxi driver but as we see on the telly week after week the HSE pay out millions in compo for negligence. That's why they get the good expensiv medical masks that work and taxi Drivers arent even offered the vaccine.I know my place I'll wait it out.

TB is still here, killed 1.5 million last year. You're probably safe because you got the BCG.  Remember, they didn't know how dangerous it was at the beginning of the outbreak, choosing to err on the side of caution.

My paternal Grandfather succumbed to Tuberculosis at the tender age of 55. (although he left 14 kids behind). I could never work it out, was he a good Catholic, or a sloppy protestant. 8)
