There was a case like that in Germany recently.  Guy had setup an office in the spare bedroom.  He was walking from his main bedroom to the spare bedroom when he tripped.  He tried to claim compo in the courts.  The company counter-claimed that he was still basically walking to work and hadn't yet arrived in 'the office' therefore no work compo.  He won.
Wen I had a real job watty I had this conversation wit the union rep ....you are in work once you are travelling to work ...guy got knocked off his bike or sumtin and got the full pay .......tho that was 20 yers ago probably...not sure how it is now
But that's probably because you were all driving around in vans/lorries.  Your company gave you some time for driving otherwise your unions would insist you all turn up in the depot first to collect your vans/lorries first & the company would get no work out of youse.  The guy in my story was an office worker afaik.

No watty I clocked in at 8.00  an cycled to work ....once ya leave yur house on way to work  an if yu had an accident....you wer  entitled to the full sick pay as if yu had an accident at work ....im pretty sure that was the law then....cud be different now ...

If you won an EV from a popular ride sharing app and tripped over the cable would the firm be liable?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
