Tayto Park has today announced a recruitment drive for 250 seasonal jobs across a range of areas.

The theme park and zoo, located in Ashbourne, Co Meath, will reopen fully for its spring summer season on April 9.

Tayto Park is on the hunt for “fun, outgoing, dynamic people” for a “variety of part time and full-time roles” available across a range of departments including admissions, bookings, food and beverage, theme park attractions, zoo attendants, tour guides, grounds keeping, retail teams and more.

Describing it as a “flexible and fun environment”, Tayto Park says workers can choose their hours and “enjoy a range of benefits including 30pc off tickets for family and friends, 20pc off retail, company BBQ’s and events, along with plenty of opportunities to earn extra hours”.

The park said this is a working environment where “fun is fundamental” and responsibilities include welcoming families at reception, chasing rollercoasters to working with the animals at the Tayto Park Zoo

This comes as the theme park is set to change its name and end the snack food brand’s sponsorship.

In February, Tayto Snacks and Tayto Park announced that the title sponsorship for the Meath theme park will come to an end on December 31.

From January 2023 there will be a new name and identity for the award-winning theme park.

The founder of Tayto Park, Raymond Coyle, said it was time to rename the park to ‘better reflect the exciting rides, attractions and zoo that are coming over the next few years’.

Mr Coyle said: “We now look forward to a new and exciting chapter for the park, with many new developments planned, including an investment of €30m over the next two years.”

"On behalf of myself and my team I would like to thank the management of Tayto Snacks for its belief in our vision. It has been a very special partnership and we look forward to the year ahead and indeed continuing our journey and close relationship with Tayto Snacks,” he said.
