I don't think the NTA or FN have officially told me about this 20% 'bonus' so how could I apply it?  Also, the NTA have repeatedly said the fares on the meter is the MAXIMUM we can charge and we are free to discount if we want.  So boohoo to FN if I discount.  They don't set the fares and they are not my boss.

Having said that, I recently threw a guy out of my taxi for taking drugs and being blatant about it. [The safety screen protects us...but it also protects them when I want to 'talk' to them about their behaviour  >:( ].  Anyways,  got ~70% of the fare in coins and drove up the road a bit before I pulled in to finish the 'paperwork'.  FN sent me a message about the fare being too low.  I wrote them back and said I fuked him out for taking drugs.  After that, they were only interested in whether the amount I entered into the app was real or made-up.  Oh, and they said they'd put a note on his file!

Scuse the ignorance but if the fare at the end of the journey comes to say 20 Euro we are to ask the passengers for an 4 Euro??
Can you imagine the hassle you WILL get from passengers thinking you are ripping them off??
and are we suppose to work it out ourselves on a calculator?

This is shambolic

You cant work out 20% .Listening to lads on here we dont want any more money .Im sure Free Now will tell the Fare Review that drivers dont want any more .You can be sure your posts have been copied and will be used against you .FUCKING GOBSHITES .

Yes I can , most though wont (for some bizarre reason). The only thing it may cause some hassle with passengers who think you are ripping them off.
With regards the taxi companys, they dont speak for me . I see they were in talks with this grouping "Dublin City" who wish to rid the city of "adult shops"(as if they are the main reasin why Dublin is a kip!) and move all taxi ranks into car parks.
THAT is their proposal, moving all taxi ranks into car parks. They have negotiations with some taxi companys about this.
I bet they never spoke with drivers themselves or any of the taxi reps.

Good point. Imagine if there was a rep for indie drivers?
