Firearms certificates issued to 300 minors every year, gardaí reveal
Of 1,400 firearms training licences issued in eight years, most went to teens
Gardaí issue an estimated 300 licences to minors for guns or gun training every year, figures show.
At least 150 firearms training certificates are issued to children, some as young as 14. It is estimated a similar number of 16 and 17-year-olds are obtaining firearms certificates entitling them to hold a gun.
