The Motor Tax Refund scheme was launched on 1st September 2021 by the Department of Transport as a financial support to the SPSV industry during this Covid-19 pandemic.
This scheme was in place for one year from that launch date closing on 31st August 2022. This scheme is now closed and no further applications will be accepted.

Doesn't really make senses as you can submit the application before 30th September 2022. Tax was paid for in August and I sent the application before 30th September.
It seems the closing date of 31/08/2022 is final, with no mention of 30/09/2022. Write it off against tax.
I will but I will ring them about it.
3.3 The deadline for receipt of an application under the Scheme is 30 September 2022.Hard to believe they have been so picky about it, its supposed to be about helping taxis due to a pandemic.
