Sustainability, CO₂, ecological footprint — you probably hear brands mention these words more and more every day. But without a context, all of this may seem like a clever marketing hoax. Not at Bolt! ☝️

For every ride you take, we balance the emitted CO₂ with various amazing sustainability projects. To shed a bit more light on our Green Plan, here’s how we’re neutralise the CO₂ levels during your Bolt rides:

Numbers-numbers. We calculate each ride’s carbon footprint and get those calculations verified by a group of experts.

Choose projects aka jury-duty. To neutralise our CO₂ emissions, we take up various sustainability projects all over the world. The highly experienced Natural Capital Partners’ team and other expert organisations are helping us out with this task.

Payment time. Ideas become reality and we make the sustainability projects that we’ve chosen in the previous step happen.
So, now you know! Every time you ride with us, you’re part of the climate solution.

A pity the work coming off their App is just work that Free Now drivers discard.

It doesn't matter to me where it comes from once it's within my area of operation with a viable run in but it's the other way round in my experience. In fact, only last night I noticed that 2 of the jobs I declined on Bolt were subsequently offered (right down to my level) through Free Now. I guess it makes sense for clients to try the lowest fares firms first. However, I don't have priority or ambassadorship on Free Now so I guess most of my work has been declined by drivers higher up the pecking order.
