If you download Waze,(another mapping app, owned by Google) you can specify that you're a taxi and then it'll show you routes like through college green etc

Yep!….Van de Man…I used Waze for years and found it much more accurate and the add ons were great to use. In the early years Maps would direct you into a Cud deSac when trying to get out of a big Estate. I would just jump to  Waze and hey presto it all became cear. Wonder how they compare now?

The worst thing about these nav systems is when they're on in the backround they're following you and your short cuts around.Fast forward a few years and everyone is going the way to you used get through much faster.Short cut fukked.

A good example of this is Hanover street east that used to be a relatively empty and quick way to get down to the Marker hotel area is now just as busy as Macken street during the rush hours.I had one American couple get out of the car because the traffic seized up completely.Yer man was on a walking stick and he made through faster than me.Absolute kip down there.

I don't like Google maps as the passengers believe it to be never wrong and start making noises when you deviate from the suggested route.

Yep !  And add that to my list of things I dislike about GM.

There is a few reasons why I dislike GM, mainly because I'm still old-school and dislike being told what to do by a robot, secondly because I generally know my own work area better than GM does and lastly because it makes us even lazier as we no longer need to use our brain to find a location, ....

PS. Nice one Van D.   ::cheers
