Free Now Comfort
« on: December 10, 2025, 11:56:23 pm »
Any of ewes on the Comfort fleet and, if so, what (if any) cut of the surcharge does the driver get and what motor do you need i.e. is it only for BMWs and Mercs?

€4-6 more than the default Taxi Saver option for a lift to the station... same as Priority but longer wait.

If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I've done one of those comfort jobs and I think there was a bonus but it was only something like €2 but I may have forgotten the exact amount.

The BYD is quite plush, I guess. I wonder if a MG or ID4 or BZ4X would qualify. I'm gonna assume a Corolla or Prius wouldn't. Might be a question worth asking the depot closer to next March if I remember. As Tesco say, every little helps!

I half remember seeing it on their website somewhere.Usually the EVs have decent legroom due to their lack of engines.

Same idea Panel.I just another way to make it look like their giving the passengers more choice.I've only ever done one jobs like that and the passengers were  big Nutty Professor size blokes. When they got in the car it started to list to one side. The extra €2 wasn't worth the additional battery loss.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful as I'm a bit of a fat bastard meself lately....

There's a big chap that lives around D7 and he must weigh the same as 5/6 people.I really though my old Prius was gonna snap a suspension spring it was leaning so far over.I'm ashamed to say I had to block him. Some of these lads should be on the back of on of a Gannons truck.

FFS, basically anything that qualifies as a taxi. Is there an age limit or any further requirements such as providing bottles of water, napkins/baby wipes, Ferrero Rochers or broadsheet newspapers or whatever?

For Free now Comfort in Ireland, your vehicle must be less than 4 years old (e.g., 2021 or newer) and offer substantial passenger space (90+cm legroom), alongside meeting other requirements like a high driver rating, distinguishing it from standard taxis which usually follow a 10-year NTA age limit.

Shitboxes will preferential treatment if they're stickered up and have silver/gold status I'd imagine.

I'd have the stickers if they offered me the same 2 ton they pay drivers to switch from Uber stickers. Mad that they penalties a driver who doesn't work for Uber.
