Concerns for future of Dublin school after teachers unpaid

There are concerns about the future of a Dublin English language school after the company failed to pay teachers and other staff on Friday.

Grafton College, based in the Portobello area of Dublin, caters for between 400 and 500 international students.

Teachers at the privately owned school were due to receive monthly wages on Friday, but they did not.

They have told RTÉ News that they fear that the school has, or is about to, close.

The representative body for English language colleges here, Marketing English in Ireland (MEI), has said it is aware of problems at Grafton College.

MEI says it is putting in place a contingency plan for students.

It also confirmed that no staff had been paid on Friday.

MEI has said it will be in attendance at a special meeting that is due to be held at the school tomorrow morning.

Big Dommos son that he had with the bird who worked in the chipper went to Australia and worked as a barman for a year and he wanted to stay as he was in Love with a Sheilagh anyhoo he had to go working on a farm to extend his visa .Farmwork was not for him having been brought up in the flats so he left and went back to barwork .He was captured by immigration and deported as he no longer met his visa requirements .
