Congratulations to Rachel Riley.
Who is she ?

She co-presents countdown and just had her first child. I just thought with her having an Irish name and someone having given her a dart that she deserves a mention.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Fallon... 15 large for playing 2 games of darts isn't to be sneezed at... plus sponsorship, exhibitions, etc... I think that's more than the women get for winning their world championship - if it's not, it should be - and she can still play in that as well.

... and Mikuru stole that walk on from Rapid Ricky Evans!

They all stole something from someone else...didn't Price nick his nickname from Warriner-Little? Thought the BDO was only open to amateurs?..anyway  O'Connor's gone now too. Looks like Bobby George's MVG nailed-on prediction is solid......when there's big bucks involved he tends to give it a right lash but not a great record in Muswell Hill for a man of his talent.

To be fair to Price he'd never heard of Warriner-Little, one of the biggest names in darts, when he picked Iceman from a range of suggestion on his social media, most subscribers probably not being darts fans.

I'm not sure if the BDO still aspires to being a professional organisation but Fallon and Mikuru are both eligible to play in their WC if it goes ahead! Similarly, all the players that were unsuccessful in the PDC Q School last January still compete in BDO events - to compete in Q School you have to join the PDPA so technically you are a professional. In fact, Glen Durrant played in this years Grand Slam as a BDO representative, he wouldn't have qualified under the PDC OOM. I know Barry Hearn tried to get BDO to concentrate on the amateur game and is rumoured to have offered sponsorship if they done that. However, that particular soap opera rolls on. They've booked the O2 in London for the 2020 WC, starting next month but still have no sponsor and no idea if they can come up with the prize money. Meanwhile Bob Potter threatened to stage a legends of darts event at the Lakeside during the same week, not sure how or if that's progressed at all but ticket sales for the O2 were reported to be at 9% last month with as few as 36 tickets sold for one session. I hope it does go ahead though. Cork's John O'Shea won their Masters last month and ought to be a contender!

O'Connor committed a cardinal sin last night, 2-2 in sets, 2-2 in legs, the ref bellows "William you require 4" and he throws at double 1. Still, where he lost the game was in his head. When he went 2-1 up in sets he was thinking about how bad the final leg of that set was and how he didn't deserve to win it. FFS, instead of shaking his head in disbelief he shoulda been jumping up and down, shouting and roaring, letting Price know the only stat that matters is the 2-1 scoreline. You didn't see Price shaking his head in disbelief when he capitalised on Willie's mistaken target!

Watched it and was shocked by it; but he seems far more in control of his temper than he was. Not long before Wille does better than he has being doing...have a sly tenner e.w on Durrant, and the player who never fails to bottle it with Jimmy White Syndrome,....Chizzy.

Good luck with them... Roll on Easter:

https://dartsnews.com/new-unified-darts-tournament-set-to-be-held-at-lakeside-in-2020/

A brand new tournament is set to take place at Lakeside from next year to replace the BDO World Championship, it has been revealed.

Bob Potter OBE had previously set his intentions to host a new event at the hotel in Frimley Green after the BDO decided to move to the Indigo at the O2.

LiveDarts broke the news on Monday evening as a result that there will be a new tournament and that it’s scheduled for Easter 2020.

It was originally mooted for the dates in which the BDO World’s usually takes place but this was only just in case the issues with their event actually occurred.

The event will use top players from all bodies and codes worldwide with only PDC Tour Card holders exempt – this means it will be male and female players from the BDO, WDF, PDC Challenge Tour, Development Tour and Soft-Tip.

It will also include a £200,000 prize fund and despite the size of the field and format not being revealed yet, there will supposedly be a new format utilised.

Darts brands are currently in talks about partnerships and tickets could be on sale very soon for what promises to be an interesting new event as what many call the home of World darts stays alive!

Teehan gone now, too... Not disgraced by any means, came back from 2-0 down to force a decider. Same management as Lennon, I think... the TV cameras kept cutting to Lennon's manager cheering him (Teehan) on anyway.

Just had a couple of throwaway tenners myself, Aspinall @ 28/1 with paddy power (30/1 available with Betfair Sportsbook but my Betfair account is restricted to the exchange) and Humphries @ 66/1 with Bet365 - 100/1 available with Skybet but my Skybet account is still suspended, they did tell me they'd reactivate it with certain restrictions a few months back but that hasn't happened.

Tempted to throw a tenner away on Dobey as well but 55/1 is the best I could get right now with Bet365. 80/1 with Boylesports but my Boylesports account is effectively closed - technically  restricted to casino and poker, neither of which interest me. I might sneak in to a shop with used notes tomorrow if the price is still there.

Changed my IPTV... cccambox went down for a few weeks when Sky attacked most (or all) of them... missed a bit of cricket but there was no darts on at that time. However, since it came back it's been pretty unreliable, freezing frequently and seemingly totally blocked when there's soccer on - all the channels go, not just the soccer. In fact Mobdro was more reliable. The one I'm using now has been perfect since I went back to it when the darts started. However, it's more expensive than cccambox and you can't record it... and it's restricted to one device. I'll PM you the link anyway, they do a 3 day free trial so probably worth a look.
