I checked the oil price last week... when they nearly made me buy a set of tailored car mats reduced to €20 from €30 but I realised the untailored mats are working just fine before committing to being sucked in... was about the same €33/5 litres... ordered 2 of 'em today @ €53 after discount. Funny though the 2 pack (10 litres) is priced at €72.99 while they are €32.99 each... I guess maths isn't their strong point!

I always buy my oil from Mick as he's much cheaper (for oil) than Euro Car Parts / carparts4less ... and I generally avail of a special offer... last time I paid €28 for 5 litres. You'd struggle to find in under €50 in a motor factors - 5W30 Fully Synthetic with VW504.00 and VW507.00 spec.
Ashgrove Interparts 4 x 5litre fully synthetic. €100

The 505.01... is no good to me... and Dunlaoghaire is a day's work away! The VW504/507 is invariably the most expensive of all 5W30 Fully Synthetics on the market but I believe it's essential to stick with it, all to do with additives and such like.

Euro Car Parts is usually cheaper and you can collect in Santry and pay cash. Just make sure you order online and get the current discount code from a banner on the home page. For some reason they overprice everything all the time and use discount codes to get to the proper price.

It must be well worth it when a customer pays over the odds for something. The normal price for my oil on Micksgarage is €45 before discounts.I've gotten it for €20 in Halfords on special and I think usually 28/30 on Micksgarage with vouchers.

For every ten customers who pays €28 there's maybe one or two paying €45 bringing up the averages.

I had one of their staff in the car and I think she was a manager.I told her once I've seen the cheaper price online I'll never pay more than that. She thought I was a bit mental.

I also got the impression they make money on the delivery too. They don't really like you picking up your own stuff.I do it to avoid getting the wrong parts.Theres a euro charge for it now.

I bought stuff from Carparts4less.Uk and managed to get a refund in Santry a couple of years ago. They tried to make our they weren't the same place but they gave me a refund.

Mick does free delivery over €50... not sure about Euro but I've collected stuff from Santry without paying extra. One of the lads down the bar had to return something to carparts44less a year or so back and he told then he could drop it in to Santry 'cos he works at the airport but they insisted on sending a courier to collect it at their own expense.

I deffo dropped it into Eurocarparts in Santry. The helpdesk in Carpartsforless told me to do so.Their websites are almost identical.

The only reason it happened was because they had ignored my previous request for assistance after sending me the wrong stuff.I ended up leaving them a bad review on Trustpilot. They didn't like that at all.So contacted me for a resolution.I'd forgotten about it by then.

Correct.  My Mechanic just told me to pick up brake pads there.

Silver what sort of mileage is on your yoke that it needs pads?

On the older Prius they can last over 160000 miles.Newer ones might be different.

160k fro pads is good... On me MKII Octy I changed the front every 50k or thereabouts and the back every 40k. I reckon I'll do the MKIII (auto) front and back every 40k, alternating with oil changes.
