Millions in compo for small adverts on a handful of  pedal cars that are rarely used.Sounds far fetched to me.The cost of drawing up the legislation would probably be bigger.

Sure there are taxi drivers giving away more advertising space on their vehicles for free to 15%now.

Sandal-wearing, hippie, EV-driving taxi drivers will be worth a fortune when regular cars are banned from the city centre.

I get a laugh outta people who go to Aldi/Lidl on Parnell St to save money and then get a taxi home...

People are great at saying the world should go green... but when they're told they *themselves* will have to cycle everywhere, they'll say 'fuk that' and get a taxi.  Happy days for us?

12 seats for the greens... likely to be a factor in the next Govt (however short lived that may be) and the one after that. Good for the environment, I guess... although I can't help being a bit selfish and welcoming whatever extra sunshine a bit of global warming might bring our way...

If it was legally possible in Galway to get rid of rickshaws, why was it not legally possible in Dublin ?
That's an urban myth that taxi drivers love to spout on the ranks, the truth of it is that Galway banned them only on pedestrian streets.

Gerry Adams has more Pension books than a rural post office .UK old age  Irish old age ,Dail Pension British MPs pension Northren Assembly Pension  and you can bet he has a Private pension he paid into to save on tax from his legitimate earnings .And all totally above board and legal .

Laughing me arse off....can't believe how thick this electorate was. The Greens are not your friends lads.........they're a new religious cult intent on culling the likes of yez. When David Icke (international conspiracy theory multi-millionaire), the ex-spokesman for them, left in the 90's, he said of them, "Babes in Arms...and they say I'm fucking mad". Having the Greens in any position of power will not benefit taxi-men/women/non-binaries in any way, shape or form.
Their idea of public transport is state-funded VW Campervans transporting Róisín and Kai to state-controlled prefabs heated by a sun (which goes into decline every 400 yrs) and to get men knitting their own sandals on cold winter mornings to stay warm. The cottage-cheese eating millennial goons are just champing at the bit waiting for the Euthansia referendum which is around the corner to get rid of those who burned peat and coal. These people were the ones who told us 40 and 50 somethings that coal and peat were natural fuels and were GOOD for the environment...when they were chaining themselves to the Greenham Common railings in their rejection of Nuclear Power............What an about-turn!!!!! All their role-models are fake......

Don't like the Greens,i haven't forgotten that it was them who supported Cowen when thing went tits up in 08....also introduced the new motor tax system which clearly benefitted the affluent who could afford to change their car.
They're power hungry fuks....like the rest of them.

I can see the greens walking it in the next election, the electorate have proven themselves to be idiots and its cool to be seen to be green.
