What did/will you go for after the 6 weeks, bearing in mind that you "have to" apply for Jobseekers within the 6 weeks, Ken? .....
I'm hopefully just in fer the 6 weeks.

But you are still required to apply for "Jobseekers" within that period. Applying doesn't mean you will get anything.
I have no intention at the moment of applying fer jobseekers allowance after the 6 week period, I wil have to play this one by ear !

AFTER Kenneth of course we will apply on time .

After would be too late, Ken. It says you have to apply within the emergency period. I wonder if you'll be liable to repay the emergency money if you fail to comply?

I overheard some kids in the supermarket suggesting that there will be no leaving cert this year and everybody will be deemed to have passed, they were speculating on how points might be awarded/calculated. Jeez, ifn the erm was born in 2003 he'd have passed his leaving!
Me small fella passed his oral Irish exam the other day with 100%, without even doing it !

Within 6 weeks ? do it on the last day that will qualify .If you do it earlier you might get turned down earlier .Join the dots gentlemen .

I don't think they'll stop any payments within the emergency period. The fact that they specify that reconciliation may result in increased backdated payments for certain "customers" suggests they have no intention of pursuing overpayments on reconciliation.

None of us know the full score here, so we will have to play it by ear, at the moment I'm going along with John M.

Did I ever tell you about my Oral Irish test. I think it was the first year of the Oral element and all the questions were set and in a set format so obviously we'd all learnt the script. In I goes, the Irish bird says something... I say Stefawn iss annim dumb... she says something else and I say I live in Coolock as Gaelige and it goes on like that for a while with her looking increasingly perplexed and the lad with her looking decidedly anxious. Eventually she proves she can speak English and says, slow down I'm trying to find out why you're not next on my list... dunno, says I, that's not part of the test is it? It wasn't and I ended up with an A or a B... although I can nearly follow Nuacht these days. BTW, the Irish for Covisd 19 id Covid nuck dayug.

So, have you decided whether you will apply for Benefit or Allowance. Bear in mind Benefit is taxable save where paid to systematic short term workers, Allowance isn't.

The most shameful aspect to this whole thing is thay the scumbag Ebbs and his likes are doing absolutely nothing to encourage drivers to stop work and avail of the welfare package.you all know what I think of those gangsters in the first place, but this is a new low even for them

Maybe he thinks taxis are part of the public transport system like what we wanted when we went on strike. How things change, first sign of adversity and the public can go fuck themselves. I see Free now arte surveying the drivers who work for them looking for ways to encourage greater use of taxis - and more commission in their pockets - during the pandemic.

BTW, fair play to the men who are looking after shoppers and workers from ranks without paying blood money to Free Now. Yisser are doing the public a service.

It's up to Govt to decide when taxis should be displaced. In the meantime the public need a service. Fair play to the men who are prepared to do that service.
