If they follow the banks example by using a gross average of our last three years returns @75% I'd be entitled to 260 a week...If the pubs and the takeaways stay closed I won't need anymore than 150 a week to get by and still pay the bills.

Perhaps I missed it before MFH, but how does your household survive on €200 since Xmas.

Another kept man Bob....like Vik,Ratty and Ermy!!

It's not that impressive I kinda hinted in other threads....saved 4500 for my car replacement before Xmas. Then I stopped working. Most was spent because I assumed I could get stuck back in early March and earn a few quid. How quick things change.

I was overpaying my Mortgage and drinking out of that until I figured out I wasn't gonna be working again for a bit.So now I'm paying 600 a month and so is the other half. That covers the minimum mortgage(420pm over a very long time) and a bills whilst saving a little.

So 1200 a month to keep the household going. My dogs medication is about 120/150 a month so he will be getting eaten soon as a cost saving exercise.

I will be living off the 203 for the six weeks but needing less than 150.No kids.Wife pays her own way as she should.

I won't apply for a mortgage break until I absolutely need it.

And I'm not a kept man.Modern women make their own money. That's always been our arrangement.Money is the root of all break ups etc etc.

If something happens to the other half I'd look after her but we're a good few years/decades away from that scenario.Money causes a lot of resentment in relationships. If it can be avoided it should be.

75% of 2018's declared income (after capital allowances) minus 2018 pension contributions minus 2018 USC minus 2018 PRSI minus 2018 Income Tax would be a reasonable computation.
